Recipe: Spooky Spider Peanut Butter Cookies

These spooky cookies are perfect for Halloween and their delicious taste will make you scream! Enjoy them with friends and family this Halloween.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Yields 16 cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tbs milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cups granulated sugar
16 mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped
32 candy eyes
2 tubes edible writing gel

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375˚F

In a large bowl mix together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup sugar. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well and make sure brown sugar is thoroughly mixed and not just at the bottom of the bowl.

In a medium size bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to wet mixture and beat on low speed until stiff dough forms.

Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in 3/4 cups sugar in a small bowl.

Place 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Top each cookie immediately with a peanut butter cup, placed upside down. Remove cookies from the and put them on a wire rack with a spatula to cool for 5 minutes.

Use writing gel to draw 8 legs on each cookie to look like a spider.

Use writing gel as glue to adhere 2 candy eyes onto each cookie.
