Girls Tennis Dominates Through First Five League Games

1 min read

The girls tennis players are starting their season off well, having already won their first five Peninsula Athletic League (PAL) matches against opponents Half Moon Bay, Burlingame, Carlmont, Hillsdale, and now Aragon, who they defeated in a 6-1 victory.

With this win against Aragon, coaches Tom Sorenson and Carlos Aguilar have led the girls to a first place ranking in the PAL, followed closely behind by San Mateo and South City, both of which are 4-1.

With nine more games left until PAL finals, including their upcoming home game against Woodside on Thursday, the Bears have started their season off strong. However, before finals, the Bears must face San Mateo High School twice. This team is ranked second and poses the biggest threat to the Bears having an undefeated season. As evidenced by their current win streak, the Bears are very capable of being undefeated in the PAL, and they have high hopes for what the post season has to offer.
