Garden of Lights Illuminates Homecoming Dance

1 min read

The 2016 Homecoming Dance, hosted at Santa Clara’s Bay Club, proved to be a success. The Bay Club’s spacious area and garden decorations added to the overall ambience and this year’s theme, Garden of Lights. Student DJs Matt Gursky, Henry Kloiber, and Spencer Threat created a dynamic set list and kept the attendants on the dance floor. Leadership also set up two televisions and couches in the back of the room for people to relax and watch the Stanford football game.

Kloiber commented on the dance: “It was hella fun. We had a great time, I hope everyone else did too.” Junior Sajel Galhotra had a similar reaction to the dance. She stated,”It was awesome! I had a lot of fun with my friends and the DJ was great!”

Junior Homecoming Kings Rod Ettefagh and Imahn Daeenabi entertained the crowd on the dance floor.

Leadership poured hours into the organization of the dance, hoping to provide students with an enjoyable evening. Senior Helena Hoover, who lead the leadership team, said that the planning “was stressful but everything came together in the end.”
