On a rainy Friday, the M-A Bears dominated the Sacred Heart Prep Gators (SHP) 35-13. The weather was a big factor, causing an ugly game with a total of 10 turnovers committed by both teams. Quarterback Aajon Johnson, receiver and corner Mekhi Blackmon, and running back Jordan Mims all played important roles in the victory.

The Bears shut down the SHP offense, which put up an impressive 28 points the week before against Aragon. In another incredible defensive showing, the Bears let up only 13 points in the game. The team played as a unit, intercepting footballs and recovering fumbles left and right.

The Bears had some outstanding individual performances throughout the whole game on defense. Some key players on defense were Christian Wiseman, Noa Ngalu, Mekhi Blackmon, Spencer Corona, and Devon Dundas.

M-A travels to Aragon at 3 p.m. next week in another Peninsula Athletic League (PAL) matchup. Aragon beat Terra Nova last week 46-15 and has an overall record of 5-2. Make sure you support the team in the last three weeks of regular season play!
