Students showcase musical talent at Spring Cabaret

On Thursday night, April 26, over 30 M-A choir and guitar students performed at Spring Cabaret Night, showcasing their vocal and musical talents with self-selected songs. Separate from the Choir and Guitar concert this Friday, May 4, “Cabaret Night is more of a soloist showcase,” Patrick Maier, choir and guitar teacher, explained. Maier continued: “Students choose and prepare songs with greater independence. The concert focus is more on the ensembles.”

Experience among singers and musicians ranged from first-time performers to ‘seasoned veterans.’ Song selection also spanned across decades with some throwback hits from the ’70s and ’80s as well as some contemporary covers and originals. Watch the video below for a taste of the performances:
