Adventure #1
Activity: Bike and Hike
Location: Menlo Park
Description: Bike through the heart of Menlo Park and Stanford University. Use the Strava map posted below to ensure you don’t miss key directions like turning onto Old Page Mill Road, a quiet, traffic-free bike route. Once you’ve reached Arastradero pick a hiking trail ranging from .44 miles to 2.45 miles.

Here are some maps for a great bike ride.
Check out some maps for your hike here.

Location: San Francisco
Description: Cycle across the Bay Area’s iconic Golden Gate with you bike or rent a bike from Bay Area Bike Share (the route starts at a Bay Area Bike Share location). Find yourself winding along the coastline after crossing the bridge until you reach Sausalito. The city is home to a flavor-packed ice cream shop and a ferry returning to San Francisco.

Here is a great map to plan your bike ride.

Hi, my name is Evelyn Calhoon and this is my first year writing for the M-A Chronicle. I am really looking forward to a year of finding unique stories, and meeting interesting people. As well as writing, I enjoy photography and hope to take pictures for The Chronicle too! I love to spend my free time playing sports like soccer and wrestling, as well as exploring the outdoors by hiking, biking, and photographing nature. I can't wait to contribute to the school this year in journalism!
