Video: Why Black History Month Matters

1 min read

Black History Month is a not only time to reflect on the achievements African-Americans have made over the years, but it is also a time for black youth to remember to always strive to better oneself and his or her community. With that in mind, the M-A Chronicle asked some members of the M-A community how they view Black History Month.

BSU advisor Sherinda Bryant said, “Black History Month is everyday, not just one month but 365 days.”

Administrative Vice-Principal (AVP) J.C. Farr also shared his thoughts on Black History Month

My name is Kasha Merritt, and I’m a junior at M-A. This will be my first year as a journalist for the M-A Chronicle. I’m really excited to take on this role and learn more about our school and community. I am even more excited to work with my fellow journalists and editors.
