Boys Soccer Suffers Defeat to Woodside in Close Match: Slideshow

1 min read

On Monday, January 30, the boys varsity soccer team lost to Woodside 1-0 in a tightly contested, low-scoring match.

Woodside scored at the very end of the first half on a penalty kick giving the Wildcats the 1-0 lead. The referee called a handball in the box on senior defender Micah Shalowitz.

Even though the Bears controlled the ball for the majority of the game, they were unable to get past the Woodside defense to get on the scoreboard.

The team got back on track beating Sequoia 4-0 on Wednesday and play Westmoor at M-A at 4 p.m. on Friday. Come out and support the Bears!
